This mixed culture kriek was fermented on whole Stevnsbaer sour cherries (200g/l) sourced from the Frederiksdal estate orchards, who use them to make award winning Danish cherry wine. Then aged this beer in a first fill red wine barrel for over one year with additional cherries added directly in to the barrel. Finally, we racked the beer from barrel into tank with a further 250g/l Frederiksdal cherry juice to provide additional fruit intensity, freshness and to naturally carbonate the beer.
Tasting notes are intense ripe cherry, almond red wine, cherry drops and a touch of oak.
